Welcome to the online home of the Pittsburgh Student Government Council (PSGC). This Council was founded in August of 2010 in response to the proposed Fair Share Tax (aka Tuition Tax) from the City of Pittsburgh in the fall of 2009.

This Council serves as “the representative for the common needs and concerns of our collegiate learners to all persons and groups which act to service and/or hold authority unto the students.” Our Council is currently comprised of elected student representatives from the member universities that make up the Pittsburgh Council on Higher Education (PCHE).

Feel free to browse our website for more information about our Council, current initiatives and past actions. We welcome your feedback, ideas, or additional comments through replying on our posts, or emailing us at

Thanks and good day!
